I’m still in a state of shock. I can’t believe I gave birth to the sweetest tiny human this week.
In case you missed it, Patrick and I welcomed our daughter to the world three weeks early on Wednesday, March 27, at 5:14 p.m. Her name is Brooklyn Lee Burk and we couldn’t be more in love.
Brooklyn was born at Northside Hospital and it truly was the most incredible experience. Getting her here was a little tough because she didn’t arrive until more than 46 hours after being admitted to the hospital, with 34 of those hours being in active labor. Once she did make her grand entrance, it was pure bliss.
I plan on sharing more details about Brooklyn’s birth story later. In the meantime, I wanted to share the most precious pictures that were taken in her first 24 hours.
My sweet friend and coworker, Katie Beasley, took some priceless pictures of Brooklyn at the hospital & I couldn’t be more obsessed with how the photos turned out. Katie captured such a special time for our little family the morning after Brooklyn was born and I’ll be forever grateful to have these images from during our hospital stay. [Katie: I can’t thank you enough! You are so talented and these hospital photos are EVERYTHING! You are one of the kindest people I know and I feel so lucky to have you as a mommy mentor and friend.]
