How have I already been pregnant for six months? SIX MONTHS, Y’ALL! That means I’ll be meeting my sweet girl in just a few shorts months. [I’m hoping she’s sweet. I figured if I put it out there she’ll hopefully be sweet over salty.]
Not too much has changed since my 20-week bumpdate. I’m still feeling pretty good, for the most part, with nausea only popping in every now and then.
This week was pretty special because I felt my baby for the first time. I’ve been on flutter watch for quite some time now, due to my placenta being anterior, so I was ecstatic to finally feel movement. [Anterior means there is basically a cushion between the baby and me.] It happened on Wednesday, December 19, at 11:11 a.m. while I was sitting at my desk at work. [Yes, I made a wish.] It felt like tiny bubbles popping to the right of my belly button, and when I looked down I could actually see movement from the outside of my dress. I got teary-eyed, then yelled to my coworkers, “I just felt her for the first time!”
However, I haven’t felt her since… hoping it becomes more frequent!
What else is new? Hmm… my growing belly. My stomach has definitely expanded a lot over the last month. [I can also feel growth in my hips. Joy.] I’m in constant awe of pregnancy and what our bodies are capable of doing. It blows my mind every single day that there is tiny human growing inside of me.
“She’s the exclamation mark in the happiest sentence I could ever write.”
As I enter into the last few weeks of my second trimester, I have a new obsession. It’s called PinkBlush, and it’s my new favorite online shop for cute maternity clothes. [They also have super cute non-maternity items.]
I’m excited to announce I’m now a style ambassador for PinkBlush, and just got my first item. It’s an adorable burgundy floral dress with ruffle sleeves. It’s the softest material, 95% polyester & 5% spandex, with a ruched siding allowing for a very flattering fit. [I got a lot of compliments when I wore it this week… just sayin’]
I love this piece because you can dress it down with boots or up with heels. It’s perfect for work, and also a great option for a baby shower. [Side note: I’m an Alabama fan and would have loved to have worn this during football season. Roll Tide!]
I ordered a size large, and it’s a very comfortable fit. I normally wear a medium in non-maternity clothing but wanted a little extra room for bump growth. I probably could have fit in the medium, but also wanted the dress to be plenty long enough. I’m 5’9” and the dress hits a few inches above my knees.
PinkBlush often has GREAT sales, and always offers 10% off your first order by signing up with your email. [Subscribe here!] They are currently offering an extra 50% off all clearance items.
