I woke up this morning feeling extra grateful after driving to Birmingham, Alabama this weekend for our first baby shower. [My husband is from Birmingham.]
Patrick and I were joined by our family and close friends to celebrate our little girl. It was an adorable shower thrown by my mother-in-law and sister-in-law with lots of pink and lots of love. [Thank you, Andrea & Ashleigh.]
Some of the details included Krispy Kreme doughnuts [my fav], personalized baby cookies, a onesie banner along the fireplace, delicious food, and beautiful flowers.
The trip was short, but very sweet. We were only able to stay in Birmingham for the day and headed back to Atlanta afterward due to Patrick’s job. [CPAs have no life this time of year.] We left with our hearts feeling full and we were definitely tickled pink. We also left with many new items for baby B. One of those included a sentimental gift from Patrick’s grandmother, Mimmie. It was a beautiful cutting/serving knife which Mimmie plans on having monogrammed after the baby arrives. The knife will one day be used at baby girl’s birthday parties and then on her wedding day. [TEARS!] The gift came with the sweetest note that made several of us a little weepy. [Scroll down to the last image… you won’t be sorry!]
Thank you to all of our family and friends for showering us – we love y’all!
