5 maternity looks wearing mainly non-maternity clothes

Maternity clothes can add up quickly, costing you more than you want to spend on outfits you’ll only wear while pregnant.

Personally, I have a love-hate relationship with maternity clothes. I LOVE maternity outfits because they allow you to be much more comfortable. [I started wearing maternity pants at around 10 weeks, and will likely wear them every Thanksgiving for the rest of my life.] On the other hand, I loathe spending money on pieces I’ll only wear for less than a year or until the next time I’m pregnant. And, when that time comes, let’s hope it happens to be during the same time of the year. Dressing for pregnancy in the fall/winter months is completely different than dressing your bump in the spring/summer.

I committed to wearing maternity clothing very early on, which is why I’m super impressed with my stylish friend, Katelyn. She’s in her third trimester and has yet to purchase a maternity-style dress or top. She’s purchased several maternity pants, but that’s only because it’s absolutely essential unless you can get away with only wearing stretchy sweatpants or pajamas every day for ten months. [OMG GOALS!]

I’m even more impressed with Katelyn’s pregnancy fashion because she’s not only wearing mainly all non-maternity items but doing so in the trendiest way possible. She looks absolutely adorable in every outfit that goes over her sweet little bump. Her style consists of many body-con dresses, which are super affordable from Forever 21.

I love everything Katelyn wears, especially while pregnant, so I asked her to be my “muse” and model several maternity outfits wearing mostly non-maternity clothes.
